Team building and group volunteer opportunities are available year-round on the farm. Volunteers help weed, till, build rows, mulch and plant fields. If you are interested in learning more about sustainable growing practices and large farming projects, this is a great opportunity – as long as you don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty! Summers in Louisiana are hot, so bring cold water, gloves, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen. Wear loose, lightweight clothing. Winters are variable, so watch the weather and plan for mild to extreme damp cold. If you come prepared, it will make your day an enjoyable one.
Make a difference in your community by volunteering at Arc of Greater New Orleans. We have many opportunities to suit your interests. All volunteers must be at least 16 years or older.
For more information on volunteering at Arc, please call the Arc’s Volunteer Coordinator at 504-837-5105.
